Voltage regulator via a static relay.
The dimmer acts like a contactor: the application on the potentiometer command (between 220 and 470 kΩ) gives the transistor a variable voltage between 0 and 230V.

The sizing of the radiator is important for the lifespan of the component. The power to be dissipated is given by the following formula: Active current of the load (A) x 3.0 W/A.
Attention: the static relay must be protected against overvoltage in output via a varistor, particularly when using an inductive load.
