4.5.1 Single/three-phrase variable frequency drives

1-phase 220v 3-phase 220v variable frequency drives

Variable frequency drives (VFDs); also called variable speed drives (VSDs) vary the standard network frequency (50Hz), leading to the variation of the asynchronous motor speed.
Power in stock is from 0.4 kW to 5.5 kW.
The single/three-phase VFD converts the 220V single-phase in 220V three-phase.

For applications with a 380/400V network, discover our 3-phase VFDs.

Using a 1-phase 220v 3-phase 220v variable frequency drive

1-phase 220v 3-phase 220v variable frequency drives enable to supply a 3-phase motor from a single-phase network. They also vary the supply voltage frequency (50Hz) and manage the start-up and stop phase of the motor.

The VFD power supply

Single/three-phase variable frequency drives are for single-phase 220V/230V supplies (domestic supply). They enable to drive 220V 3-phase motors connected in delta.

Choosing a single/three-phase variable frequency drive

A 220V single-phase variable frequency drive is only for 220V/230V single-phase supplies. For an industrial application from a 380V/400V 3-phase network, you need to choose a three-phase VFD.

Concerning the power, you need to choose a variable frequency drive greater than or equal to the power of your electric motor. We offer single/three-phase VFDs in stock with a power from 0.4 kW to 5.5 kW. We sell online single-phase motors from 0.25 kW to 3.7 kW, as well as 3-phase electric motors up to 7.5 kW.
